1. The Hall complex may not be used for any illegal or immoral purpose.
2. The Hall may not be used so as to entail:
  a) Any infringement of copyright
  b) Any sale or supply of excisable liquor without a license
  c) Any breach of music and dancing, theatre, bingo or other license
3. The hirer shall be responsible for and ensure the orderly conduct of those using the Hall and for meeting all requirements of the Law.
4. The hirer shall reimburse the Hall Committee for any damage to the Hall or property caused during the letting.
5. No use shall be made of any part of the premises which are not specified on the letting permit as the subject of the hiring. This will include car parking in school places during school hours.
6. Decorated surfaces shall not be defaced by attaching notices, garlands, etc. thereto.
7. The wearing of footwear likely to cause damage to floors is not permitted. Persons found wearing such footwear will not be permitted to use the premises.
8. All letting fees are payable to the Hall Treasurer 10 days in advance, failing which the booking may be cancelled.
9. Times and terms of the hiring shall be strictly observed.
10. The committee shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any property whatsoever, or the death or injury to any person whosoever.
11. As the premises are not licensed under the Cinematographic Acts, no inflammable films or other material shall be used.
12. Intoxicating liquor shall not be sold or supplied on the premises without the express consent of the Committee and the obtaining of an occasional license.
13. During school hours, no articles (such as piano, tables, flowers etc.,) may be delivered at the school portion of the premises before 4.30pm on the day of use without the consent of the Head Teacher. All equipment must be removed from the School Hall before the Hall is required next morning.
14. The use of any material for preparing the floor for dancing is prohibited.
15. All approaches, gangways and exits will be kept free from obstruction.
16. Animals are only allowed on the Village Hall premises with permission. No animals are allowed in the School Hall.
17. Premises are licensed for public dancing, music or other public entertainments of a like nature. The license stipulated

18. Representatives of the Management Committee/County Council/School Governors shall at all times have free access to the premises in their official capacity.
19. The charge for accommodation includes the use only of furniture within the room or rooms hired, or immediately accessible. In the event of the hirer requiring additional furniture a separate charge will be made according to circumstances.
20. The hirer shall remove any furniture, decorations and other materials brought into the premises within a reasonable period of hire. The Hall shall be left in a reasonably clean and tidy condition. The Caretaker shall report any misuse or contravention of this Rule through the Schoolmaster to the Management Committee.
21. a) The assignment of any hiring of the premises is prohibited. b) The Committee reserves the right to cancel any letting.
22. Litter shall not be left on or about the premises
23. Nothing shall be done that will endanger the policies of insurance of the Hall and its contents.
24. The Management Committee may refuse admission to any individual without assigning any reason.
25. Under the conditions of the Education Committee’s license with the Performing Right Society Ltd., hirers of education establishments are required to publish details direct to the society of “all musical works, whether published or in manuscript, performed at the premises vocally, instrumentally or mechanically, at entertainments for which a charge is made”. Where appropriate, details for making a submission to the PRS are available, on request, from the Bookings Sec.
26. When commercial sound recordings (CD, gramophone, tape recordings etc.) are publicly used, an application for a license to use such recordings must be submitted to Phonographic Performance Ltd. 1, Upper James Street, London W1F 9DE. Details for making an application may be obtained, on request, from the Bookings Sec.
27. The school grounds, buildings, furniture and equipment are the day by day surroundings for the children of the area. Within the limits of resources available, the school staff and Authority keep these facilities to the highest possible standard in the interest of the children. Organizations and individuals using these facilities are required to maintain these standards.
